Dale Boust came late to his work as an artist. Growing up in the San Joaquin Valley of California, he hunted and fished the nearby Sierra Nevada Mountains.
After moving to Monterey in the mid-fifties, Dale’s pursuit moved to the salmon and steelhead of Monterey Bay and the coastal rivers of California. Upon graduating from Fresno State with a degree in Civil Engineering he spent the next twenty-five years building a company and water and industrial plants throughout central California.
Dale continued hunting and fishing throughout the years, taking time out to appreciate the beauty of his natural settings through wildlife photography and writing. Today he focuses on using the images he has gathered throughout his life as the foundation of his sculpting.
Today he lives with his wife and two hunting dogs in both Fresno, California and Gold Beach, Oregon at the mouth of the Rogue River. His goal for every piece he creates is to capture the true character and spirit of the subject.
Dale Boust's featured sculptures are:
Rivers Return
Patience

He is currently involved in the creation of seven monumental bronzes to be placed in a one-acre memorial peace garden on the grounds of the Veteran Administration Domiciliary in White City, Oregon.
